Gordon S.Bowen Park is quiet and secluded by Northend standards. It is great for toddlers and younger children
Location: 1013 W. O’Farrell at the northeast corner of 10th St. and O’Farrell St.
This small neighborhood park was named for the author and naturalist Gordon S. Bowen.
Bowen was appointed as director for the Boise Parks & Recreation Department from 1956-1978. He is also the author of Boise’s Parks: A Cause and a Trust. In 1987 Bowen published ‘Grandjean, Man of the Forests’ with the assistance of the Idaho State Historical Museum.
Facilities: Picnicking, playground, restrooms and bike racks.
