North End Business

The community of North End businesses is a robust, diverse and eclectic mix. Businesses range from the high-end like the Boise Co-op and State & Lemp to the down-to-earth charm of Hyde & Seek, Goody’s and Shu’s Running Store to unique and one-of-a-kind shops like Dunia Marketplace.

That being said, the North End is also home to giants in their fields of interest like Healthwise, an international health information nonprofit. All of them represent the values we share – a emphasis on caring for the environment, doing business with a heart, community involvement and compassion.

By our last count there are almost 150 businesses in the North End. In addition to the traditional types of businesses and organizations mentioned above there dozens of small and home-based businesses throughout the North End. North End Creative started in the basement of Dave’s home on North 16th in 1999. Idaho River Sports started out of Jo Cassin’s garage before moving to Hyde Park in 1987 and was a fixture until moving to the Boise River Park area just south of the North End in 2004! Tom Coleman’s Wobblenaught online bike fitting business and many others have long been run from coffee shops in Hyde Park!
