Harrison Boulevard

History

Harrison Boulevard is distinctive in many ways. It is a true boulevard with lampstands at every intersection that bookend a center park strip filled with flowering trees. The street is lined by homes that represent the best of several periods and styles of architecture and materials. McAuley Park anchors the boulevard at the south end, with Hill Road and the Harrison Hollow commercial district to the north.

Challenges

Harrison Boulevard symbolizes Boise’s rich and diverse history; however, it is at risk due to its position at the base of the Boise Front, in the path of foothills development. Such development will result in increased traffic and congestion on the boulevard. We are united in finding solutions to these and other challenges.

If you have an idea contact NENA or the Harrison Boulevard Historic District Neighborhood Association or a city or state representative.
