2020 COVID-19 Halloween

During the pandemic we’ve all had to reinvent our lives and improvise as best we can in all manner of life’s routines. Halloween in 2020 has been much discussed and it has been decided there will be no organized Harrison Boulevard Halloween this year. So what happens next? A neighbor has stepped up with an idea to keep the neighborhood engaged and provide something for families to do – enter the 2020 North End Halloween Tour an Scavenger Hunt.

Julie Madsen helps organize the Harrison Halloween annually and is organizing this event. She said in an interview with KTVB “that is really because on a full-moon-Saturday Halloween, we could be having as many as 20,000 people on our street or more and we just could not ensure people would be able to distance and be safe,” Madsen said. Here are the details and links!

Enjoy a self-guided walking tour of decorated homes and try to spot scavenger hunt items throughout the North End from October 23-30. Event will be masked and distanced to create a safe and fun event for all participants. Optional donations to Camp Rainbow Gold from residents and visitors are kindly requested. Let’s help our kids to enjoy the holiday while also helping kids in our community who have been diagnosed with cancer! See website for more information or to add your home to the tour by clicking here.
